School Association
The Hobart City High School Association is the link between the priorities and needs of our school and the needs of our community. Parents and carers of students at Hobart City High School are automatically members of the Association, and are welcome to come along to our monthly meetings.

Our purpose
To build a connected school community that partners with families and the wider community to support our young people.
Our vision
A vibrant, diverse and inclusive school community that works with the school to enable our young people to thrive.
Our values
We support the school’s values of Respect, Connection, Responsibility, Growth and Courage, and their guiding principles of collaboration, excellence and innovation. We add our own values to guide our behaviour and decision-making:
- Collaboration – we work together to make a difference
- Compassion – we embrace equity and treat each other with respect
- Aspiration – we are proud of our school and we lead by example
Our goals
In the next two years we will work towards achieving our goals.
- Engagement: Engage and inform our school community
- Input: Provide valuable input into the plans, policies and initiatives of the school
- Support: Support the school through partnerhips and fundraising
- Governance: Build a sustainable model of governance for the School Association
Priorities
In the next 12 months we will focus on:
- Reviewing and implementing changes to the HCHSA Engagement Strategy
- Promoting the Student-Led Grants Program
- Implementing efficient governance processes
- Developing and implementing a fundraising model in partnership with the Friends of HCHS
- Involvement in designing the HCHS Years 9-12 Strategy
